Soap - The Great Pumpkin War🎃

Soap has always loved Halloween. From haunted houses to trick or treating for more candy that his then little body should have consumed, he had always been a strong participant in Halloween rituals, big and small.

And Bonnie, he would make sure that you were included in this now too! Early one Saturday a week or two before Halloween, John practically shoves you out the door, having made plans for you to have brunch with your friends.

As soon as you're out the door, John grabs his wallet and rushes out to the car and to the closest supermarket. Once there, he heads over to the bin of pumpkins and selects a couple of the ripest, orangest ones and quickly heads to buy them.

On the way back home, he makes a detour to his LT's place. When he knocks on the door, he's greeted by the LT's bird who ushers him inside kindly.

"Simon isn't here right now, John. But would you like me to tell him anything?"

John shakes his head, "Don't worry about it, but you could help me with something. Do you know where Ghostie's knives are? The sharpest ones, please."

Ghost's Bird, after a bit of convincing that the knives would be returned before Ghost would notice, led John to a case where he selected a few before thanking her and resuming his journey back home, gear all gathered.

By the time that you arrive home and unlock the door, John is all set up. The dining room is covered in a tarp, and pumpkins are laid out on top with an impressive array of knives from ones as long as your pinky to ones that look more like saw blades.

When you finally spot John, he grins happily and waves at you. Placing your handbag on the side table, you kick off your shoes and go to join him.

"What's all of this?" You say grinning.

John walks up on you, hugging you close and swaying you happily. "A Halloween tradition, Bonnie!"

Letting you go, he leads you over to his newly crafted pumpkin carving station and invites you to get started.

You both laugh and talk happily while deciding on your carving plans, up until you're forced to take an ungodly slimy handful of pumpkin insides. "Come on, it's not that hard," John says teasingly, with a large grin plastered on his face.

You grumble a moment before a plan takes form in your head. Slowly walking up to John, you reach over and without a moment's hesitation, smear pumpkin guts all over his cheeks.

John looks down at you, grin widening, "Bonnie, I don't think you've realized what you've just started!" With that he takes a handful of pumpkin and pulls your shirt forward, dumping pumpkin down your front.

And then, with a shriek - a war breaks out.

Pumpkin guts fly everywhere, getting stuck in your hair, the chandelier and all over the kitchen. If someone looked into the room right now, you'd be hard-pressed to convince them that you hadn't just taken a bath in pumpkin puree.

After the war comes to a close after you slip and topple over onto John landing the both of you on the floor, it's astutely declared that you're both probably in need of a nice shower, and if John joins you, that all for the better.

PY3-1 at two weeks. My Pyrolgas have only ever matured to solid white, but I may have gotten something funky out of the genetic grab bag here. I've never had one do a two-tone coloration, or turn yellow. It's reminding me of how some of my Neons ripened. Really starting to hope that yellow is its final color!
